Casino Team Members Donate Turkeys and Prepare Holiday Meals with Local Charity Organization
The Rivers Casino Community Champions will visit the headquarters of Community Kitchen Pittsburgh today to take part in a meal-packing project to benefit local families just in time for Thanksgiving. Team Members from the casino will be on-hand from 9 a.m.—3 p.m. and have donated about 50 turkeys to the cause.
Meals packed by the Community Champions will benefit Operation SafetyNet, a program focused on feeding homeless individuals throughout the cold winter months, and the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, which provides food for Thanksgiving meals to local families in need.
“The holidays bring out the giving spirit among our whole team,” said Rahmon Hart, director of community development at Rivers Casino. “We are proud to partner with Community Kitchen Pittsburgh on this Thanksgiving project.”
